As a self-published composer, most of Randall's works are available through his d/b/a corporation: Boys Art Music. Through this website, you can peruse his catalogue of compositions and read up on a his musical projects. You can also hear some of Randall's music at ReverbNation and keep up with new works that he posts online from time to time. Randall is not often motivated to promote himself -- but he succumbs to the urge once in a while; like this website, for instance.

One of these ideas was a state-wide, month-long festival of singing called the Northern Voice Festival. That idea blossomed in April 2009 with 200+ performances and two weekends of performances in the Twin Cities featuring dozens of groups, professional and amateur. The lesson learned (once again) from producing the NVF was: "what doesn't kill you makes you strong." We are still gaining our strength and watching the horizon for the next BHAG (Big, Hairy, Audacious Goal). For a couple of years, Randall worked closely with Garrison Keillor at a time when he lived in New York City.
As a long-time Classical musician with a preference for contemporary idioms and Renaissance music, Randall has been turning his attention once again to immersive arts with the ensemble, Paris 1919; the brain-child of band-leader and producer Chris Strouth. Randall improvises and has been developing his own approach to processed cello with this All-Star ensemble. He has been featured in regular appearances at the "Drones Not Drones" marathon festival and recent collaborations with Hans-Joachim Roedelius and singer Natalie Nowytski at the 2018 Art-A-Whirl festival.
Junior Composers is a two-week residential summer music composition camp for young musicians age 14-20. Students compose, perform and conduct their works and have an opportunity to work with professional musicians each year. These students come from all over the United States. Randall was General Director of Junior Composers from 2003-2016 and still teaches at the camp. The program is sponsored by the North Central Region of the National Federation of Music Clubs. In 2020, Junior Composers pivoted to become a 100% online experience and was called the Composers Online Institute. MacPhail Center for Music is a community music school in Minnesota offering students of all ages private and group lessons, performance opportunities, summer camps and personal development. Randall offers private instruction for young and adult students and also has participated in the sumer CompCamp (a June composition camp for students age 8-17) since 2012.
