Robert Browning's exhilarating expression of joy is set to music here for soprano, oboe and cello. Randall Davidson's setting can be effectively performed in a set with composer Amy Beach's setting of the same poem. The premiere took place in 2004 with soprano Maria Jette at Plymouth Congregational Church in Minneapolis.
