It's All Right for piano five-hand
Winner of the Prix du Borúd (named for the famed recording engineer and editor Russ Borud), "It's All Right" is a speciality piano piece on three counts:
- five hands (primo, secondo and oh-oh written for a volunteer pianist from the audience)
- Zez Confrey's inspired humorous, programatic (specialty) piano pieces that my mother often played -- she also composed a whopping theme and variations of "Pistol-packin' Mama"
- musical chairs requiring each player to move from the top part to the bottom part of the keyboard during the course of the piece
